In a significant move to bolster tourism and strengthen bilateral ties, the Philippines has introduced two new visa-free entry options for Indian nationals, effective from May 2025. This initiative aims to make travel more accessible and encourage cultural exchange between the two nations.
14-Day Visa-Free Entry
Indian passport holders can now visit the Philippines for tourism purposes without a visa for up to 14 days. To qualify, travelers must meet the following criteria:
This visa-free stay is non-extendable and cannot be converted into another visa type.
30-Day Visa-Free Entry for AJACSSUK Visa or Residency Holders
Indian nationals holding valid visas or permanent residency from the following countries—Australia, Japan, the United States, Canada, Schengen Area countries, Singapore, or the United Kingdom—are eligible for a 30-day visa-free stay in the Philippines. The same documentation requirements as the 14-day entry apply.
E-Visa Option for Extended Stays
For those wishing to stay longer than the permitted 14 or 30 days, the Philippines offers an electronic visa (e-Visa) system. Applicants can apply online through the official portal, providing necessary documents and payment for processing.
Explore the Philippines
With its pristine beaches, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality, the Philippines offers a diverse range of experiences for travelers. From the white sands of Boracay to the historical sites in Manila, Indian tourists now have easier access to explore this beautiful archipelago.
This development is expected to boost tourism and foster closer ties between India and the Philippines, promoting mutual understanding and cooperation.
